Say goodbye to wet underarms and welcome back confidence! Using Botulinum Toxin injections to effectively treat excessive sweating!

Excessive sweating affects 3%-5% of the population. It can start at any age, in childhood or adolescence. If you are a sufferer botox injections can be the answer to your problem. Botulinum toxin is considered a safe and effective treatment or excessive sweating. It has been proven for safety and efficacy

How does it work?

Small amounts of Botulinum toxin are injected into the armpits, the Botox blocks the release of acetylcholine, neurotransmitter activating sweat glands. This can significantly reduce or completely stop sweating for 6 months up to a year.

Is it ok to stop my body from sweating?

Normal sweating is necessary and good for us. Our body releases sweat to regulate temperature especially when we exercise or are in a hot climate. We have about 2 million sweat glands working to cool us down. This treatment is for people suffering with excessive sweating, when we sweat more than we need to. This life-disrupting condition is very uncomfortable and embarrassing and can greatly affect our self-confidence. Sometimes people are concerned about stopping armpit sweating, but this accounts for only 1% of our body’s entire perspiration. Stopping the sweat in one area doesn’t affect the rest of your body. It will produce sweat as it used to, regulating internal temperature.

Prior to treatment you need to of shaved your underarms and do not use any antiperspirant or deodorant for 24 hours before your treatment. The treatment takes about 20 minutes, and you can immediately get back to your normal activities. It takes about 5-7 days for the first results to be visible and about 2 weeks for the treatment to come to its full effect. The results will last for about 6 months up to a year. Like with all medical treatments there might be some side effects such as redness, bruising and swelling, but these are usually minimal and disappear quickly.
