Deso Fat Dissolving
Fat dissolving injections are a non-surgical solution to minimise and remove stubborn localised pockets of fat. It is ideal for those who exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet but have pockets of fat that won’t shift, even with focused exercise. A specific fat dissolving solution is injected directly into fat deposits to destroy fat cells.

Fat dissolving injections work by breaking down cell membranes to liquefy the fat cell, destroying it permanently, releasing the lipids that are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system. The procedure consists of a set of injections (usually two), administered 3-4 weeks apart, whereby the targeted area is injected with a fat-dissolving solution.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Fat injections can be used on the following areas to treat stubborn fat pockets:
Stomach
Hips
Arms
Chin
Waist
Inner thighs
Underarms and armpits
Under-bra area
Back

How many sessions will you need?
A reduction in fat deposits can be seen after just one treatment, however, you may require additional treatments (up to 8) to achieve desired results.

What results can you expect to see?
A reduction in fat in the targeted area can be noted from 4 weeks post-treatment. The speed at which noticeable results are seen will vary depending on the stability of the cell membranes; younger patients are more likely to see results after a longer period. In very small fat pockets, the desired results can already be seen after one treatment.

What risks are there and what aftercare advice is there?
After treatment there may be some soreness to the area treated, taking regular paracetamol may help. Ice packs will be provided to you to use on the treated side to help also. Bruising is common after treatment therefore you should not drink alcohol or use Ibuprofen for 24hrs following treatment. There is a small risk of hyperpigmentation so to avoid this you should keep the treated area out of direct sunlight for 2 weeks.
Swelling is common however it is usually mild and only lasts 2-3 days.
