Dermal fillers are so popular as they are an incredibly safe injectable treatment. They aren’t permanent, are subtle, natural-looking and buildable, and only require local anaesthetic in the form of a numbing cream which is applied before treatment at the injection site. They are also biodegradable as the main ingredient, hyaluronic acid, occurs naturally in the body and is broken down by your own natural systems over time.
Nasolabial folds and marionette lines
These are fine lines that become more visible over time and contribute towards an ageing appearance. Nasolabial folds, also known as smile lines or laugh lines, appear at the corners of the nose and down to the edges of the mouth. Marionette lines start at the corners of the mouth and extend down to the jaw. Dermal fillers are a good option for treating marionette and nasolabial lines because they rejuvenate the skin in a short amount of time and lessen the effects of age.The fillers contain hyaluronic acid, which contributes to a more youthful appearance. Smokers lines
Despite the name, these vertical lip lines are not always caused by smoking, but can also be due to repetitive lip pursing and movement. Lip lines appear as indentations/creases (particularly on the upper lip), which can make you look older than you actually are. Dermal filler restores volume to these "smoker's lines" to help flatten them out, reducing the shadows that make these lip lines more noticable.
